what absolutely yummy greens. Green wasn't much of a color for me once upon a time, but now I love it. these are so green you feel as though you could stick your fingers into the color.
Ok.. I CAN'T type the letters because I can't READ the #$%$% letters..
It's the churchyard of St Johns, Pitchcombe and overlooks the Painswick Valley. The A46 just beyond here has been closed since the flood - the road washed away and needed complete rebuilding - so I haven't driven this route since last July.
I celebrated the reopening of the easiest route to Gloucester by leaping out of the car and taking some photographs. I loved the curved shadows and the peace of this hillside spot, sheltered from the world by these huge yew trees.
Sometimes, an Elegant Sufficiency just isn't enough. In 2008 I responded to a challenge to post a photo a day, in the company of one or two online friends. The habit of taking a daily photograph is far too good to lose however and so the project continues. Words and thoughts will stay on the original blog - here, I hope the pictures will speak for themselves.
I've formulated my own set of "rules" for myself to follow:
Though some entries will be post-dated, the actual photo will be taken on the right day.
I'll post the photo as it was taken and not manipulate it in any way.
I knit, I sew, I embroider, I paint and draw and occasionally keep a journal. I do funny things with paper, paint and glue, I make books and other stuff. Not much of this is of any use (with the possible exception of the socks I knit) but I find fun in everything I do. I love colour, texture, pattern and want to do it all perfectly - preferably in the next five minutes.
When I'm not making stuff myself, I'm teaching someone else how to do it (or teaching someone else to teach someone else to do it)

I'm glad you enjoyed it too.
